For those unfamiliar with StockTwits, it is essentially Twitter for the stock markets. Users specifically tweet about markets trends, investment strategies and real-time company specific events. Users use “cashtags” (Ex: $GOOG) to create forums for discussions pertaining to specific stocks.
We checked in at the close to see what caught people’s today and to gain some after-hours insight.
The Buzz
What a day for KCG. They took a beating this morning and it just did not stop. They apparently messed up big time this morning when they were unable to execute trade their clients tried to make. Other chatter comes from companies like GMCR who are reporting earnings after the bell.
