"a small portion of CK patients are possibly coming from ISRGs share"
is what I said... so...
" Heavens to Betsy," (where did you get that I was saying) "ARAY must be
eating their lunch in the prostatectomy arena."
Moreover, I believe that ISRG has MANY areas of untapped application in ORs
across the globe! That is why I own shares that I happily bought in the 90s in
late 2006 and early 2007.
I feel certain that prostate surgery will play less of a percentage of ISRG
procedures in the future as other applications become more important...
and, face it, a lot of men will choose a non-invasive procedure over
surgery... even daVinci surgery... once it becomes more well known that
CyberKnife is an effective choice with a prognosis of survival without
post-operative complications.
daVinci still is an open body cavity surgery with the chance of
infection... or other unforseen complications to anesthesia, etc. (Resistant)
MRSA should be considered a remote possibility anywhere at almost anytime.
Having worked in hospitals for over 25 years & now retired, I'd take a
non-invasive procedure anytime given similar outcomes. I've logged enough time
in ORs to KNOW that I would rather never have to see the inside of one as a
patient... given any possible alternative that does not threaten my life!
But, suit yourself... have a daVinci surgery if it warms the cockles your
heart & gives you an adrenaline rush!
