The first lecture starts at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2008. Lecture materials will be distributed upon arrival or before each lecture. Students are encouraged to apply for the credits offered at the graduate university of their affiliations with the certification issued by this OCPA Accelerator School. Lecturers of basic and advanced courses will assign homework and the school will arrange schedule and discussion hours for students to do homework. In addition, one course will be arranged for students to practice lattice simulations on personal computers. There will be office hours and discussion sessions for teachers to answer student's questions. The school program contains a final open-book examination on September 9. Examination results will be available before the end of the program. The school will honor the outstanding and excellent students according to study performance and examination records at its close session.
Social Program
On Friday, September 5, all participants are invited to join a one-day excursion to Sun Moon Lake. And the school will host a banquet in the evening.
Learning Materials
Lecture materials in hard copies will be provided by the OCPA School, either distributed upon arrival or before the lecture starts. Attempt will be made to make these materials available on line and accessible by wireless at the school site. Students are encouraged to bring their laptop as well as available textbooks and reference books to the school.
