no, the only thing that remains constant when waves change medium is frequency. the speed changes depending on index of refraction. the wavelength changes since the colour is different.
just imagine the interface of the 2 media. the nodes of the wave arrive at that interface at a certain frequency. in order to it to still be a wave, nodes of the wave must leave the interface into the new medium at the same frequency too, albeit at a different speed and wavelength. but the frequency of the incoming wave must be the same as the wave leaving the interface of the 2 media, or the waves are no longer in sync and the wave completely breaks up, .
