Macroscopic and mesoscopic matter waves

As already mentioned, the interesting point about these matter waves is that their wave
length is not related to the mass of the particle as with the deBroglie waves, but rather to
the frequency ω associated with the highly excited state of its internal degree of freedom-
vibrational, rotational for a molecule, and Landau gyro-oscillations for charged particles in a
magnetic field, or the frequency associated with atomic levels in an atom. and is indepedent
of the Planck quantum in this correspondence limit. In a sense these waves may be regarded
as classical counterpart of the quantum deBroglie waves.
